Valle Valle & Partners Receives Honorable Mention at the American Architecture Awards for 3100 North Bay Road Residence

Miami BEACH, Florida

Valle Valle & Partners is proud to announce that the firm has received an Honorable Mention from the American Architecture Awards for its recently completed 3100 North Bay Road Residence, a landmark custom home that redefines contemporary coastal living in Miami Beach.

The 10,000-square-foot residence stands as an elevated exploration of indoor–outdoor harmony, sustainability, and modern design innovation. Reimagining the traditional courtyard home, the project features a dramatic front façade anchored by a cascading waterfall—a sculptural expression of movement and light that introduces the home’s central design theme: water as a living, connective element.

A continuous water feature weaves through the property, flowing beneath refined stone walkways and alongside tranquil canals before merging into a series of infinity-edge pools overlooking the bay. This fluid integration of aquatic elements creates an immersive sensory experience that is both calming and architecturally striking.

On the bay side, the residence incorporates a living seawall, a sustainable and ecologically minded strategy that promotes marine health while providing resilient shoreline protection. The courtyard is lush with exotic foliage, intentionally selected to welcome ocean breezes and reinforce the home's connection to its coastal environment.

In response to evolving climate realities, the home is elevated for enhanced resilience and healthier living. Its raised front porch fosters natural surveillance, improving neighborhood visibility and safety while contributing to the residence’s timeless, villa-inspired presence. Throughout the design, the home bridges historic and contemporary influences, resulting in an aesthetic that feels both rooted and forward-thinking within the Miami Beach context.
